Strange characters, troublesome clues and altercations with nefarious people all stand in the way of the solving the mystery. Will OShea find the missing professor...or proof of God that could change his life forever? Proof of God will appeal to fans of crime novels, along with those interested in metaphysical questions about God and the supernatural.OShea, while investigating the puzzling crime scene, finds Dr.

Connelly and his book called Proof of God have disapeared without a trace. The rationally inexplicable crime scene found in the professors office alludes all understanding. He and his super sexy, extremely competent, and highly intelligent partner Victoria Quinn attempt to determine the cause of the unusual, selective vanishing of the professors office -- a good portion of the office having not been destroyed, just mysteriously vanished.Upon arrival to the scene, the Detectives OShea and Quinn notes that a limited portion disappeared as if it never had existed--no residues observed, no smoke detected, no heat rendered, etc.

The shape of the disincorporated office furniture, fixtures, book cases and file cabinets--that is the remainder of these things--form a perfect, nine-foot, spherical imprint of the missing contents.Quinn, an agnostic catholic, suspects other-worldly powers have been at work, while Shamus, an avowed atheist, logical positivist and believer in science and the scientific method, resolves to find a logical solution to the enigmatic findings.Along with the incredible state of to the room, there has clearly been foul play--a break-in to the room and a forced entry into the professors files that contained the file folder for the highly secret, legendary, logical seventh proof of God- this was the only item missing from the draw.Upon finding a pair of surgically severed feet, perfectly severed, severed up to the ankle, sill in standing position, shoes and socks still donned in place, it was suspected that these belonged to the suspect- it is assumed the rest of him was consummed in the mysterious dematerialized section of the office.

After conferring, Quinn and Shamus are convinced that the mystery of the vanished office, the severed feet--assumed homicide, surely he didnt walk out of there! Or why would someone place dismembered feet in and among the spectacle observed?, the missing proof of God file, the breaking and entering, the disappearance of Professor Connelly and the mysterious and powerful proof of God.

The detectives are sure that finding the professors trail would solve the mystery. It is during that search that one adventure and misadventure after another occurs. Finally, OShea and partner Quinn, after pressing for some leads, Professor Connelly, forced into hiding by his own reckoning to counter fears for his own wellbeing, surfaces under an assumed name, Mr.

A. Priori. As the mystery, elucidation and secrets of the metaphysical, ontological seventh proof of God was about to be disclosed to OShea by the professor, the lights went out and Connelly disappears again. This time foul play is most certainly suspected and the trail goes cold.

They found Connelly and they lost him! OShea, an intellectual, a seasoned detective, metaphysically and spiritually conflicted has again been rebuked by the chief for being an alleged screw-up and he is accused of drinking again. OShea persists and turns one moss ridden stone after another to uncover clues and right the wrongs he has created through sheer good planing of bad ideas.OShea is the metaphysical detective, in the postmodern sense. His head and heart are in philosophy and his ass is in a squad car. He is ecstatic that he has found a case where he can use his philosophy training. As the case progresses, Shamus and Quinn hookup with an odd set of comrades, a true mismatch of personalties and minds waging war against the nefarious others. The narrative is a mixed genre--A detective story, a crime mystery, a science fiction novel and an action/adventure.

The metaphysics and philosophy of God are easy to digest as ontological proofs of god are integrated into the dialog. The philosophy based dialog add credibility, verisimilitude to the novel. The novel is akin to postmoderist. Will Shamus OShea lead his disjointed team and discover the proof of God that will change his life forever?

Will he find the professor and return him to safety? Will the malevolent agents that spun a web of evil succumb to the temperamental prowesses of Shamus? Dont ask Shamus he hasnt a clue how this will turn out!
